Bodies of 13 people recovered from Yangtze in Chongqing and two others feared dead

Fifteen people are feared lifeless after a bus within the chinese city of Chongqing plunged from a bridge into the Yangtze River during a combat among the driver and a woman who ignored her stop, police have said.

An eight-second surveillance video published at the force’s Weibo account confirmed the 2 arguing and grappling with each other moments earlier than the bus veered across oncoming site visitors and rancid the bridge on Sunday morning.

Wanzhou district police said the 48-yr-old female requested the motive force to pull over after she overlooked her stop. While he refused, she walked up to the front of the bus to confront him. The driver became his head back several instances all through the argument.

As the quarrel escalated, police said, the woman hit the driver on the head together with her cellular telephone. The motive force took his proper arm off the steerage wheel and fought lower back. He grabbed her arm when she attacked him again, then hastily advised to the left, sending the bus out of manage.

Police also posted dashcam video from a nearby automobile displaying the bus colliding with an oncoming car before smashing via a guardrail and falling into the Yangtze.

Wanzhou police said the behaviour of the motive force and the passenger significantly endangered public safety and violated the regulation.

Rescuers lifted the wreckage of the bus from the river on Wednesday night. Thirteen our bodies have been recovered and two remained lacking, the respectable Xinhua information corporation said.
