ISLAMABAD, 29 October 2019: The Government of Japan has declared a commitment of USD 2.1 million to help exiles and their host networks in Pakistan.
The new subsidizing will reinforce UNHCR’s intercessions in the regions of training, human services, and water and sanitation – profiting 70,000 outcasts and host networks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Islamabad, Punjab and Sindh.
The Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Kuninori Matsuda, and UNHCR’s Representative in Pakistan, Ms. Ruvendrini Menikdiwela, consented to the arrangement at a function.
